What makes these trays particularly good for goldwork embroidery is the way the velvet is mounted. It is perfectly smooth and taut, with no loose fabric for your needle to catch in while you’re picking up or cutting your metals.

These beautiful little trays are handmade here in the UK by Nati Denniff-Jones, using Liberty velvet. I’ve been using them for my own goldwork and love them so much that I’m now very happy to be stocking them at Clara Stitching.
 
Each tray is handmade, so there may be small variations between pieces.
