This workshop will taught in 2 sessions via Zoom
Each session will last 2.5 hours each
 
All sessions will be recorded for you to have for future reference or in the case you cannot attend one or both of them. The link to the recordings do not have expiration date.
 
First Session: Saturday 28th February at 7pm GMT (London, UK time)
 
Second Session: Saturday 7th March at 7pm GMT (London, UK Time)

During this workshop I will demonstrate live all the process and teach you how to build and embroider the orange Koi Fish. You will also learn how to finish it and make a brooch with it.
 
The kit includes all the materials to complete the orange Koi fish you can see in the photos: fabric, threads, sequins, felt, metals, needles, pin for the brooch and more.
 
Apart from what's included in the kit you will need:
 
- 8 inches hand free embroidery hoop
- Goldwork embroidery scissors or embroidery scissors that you will use only to cut metals.
-Embroidery scissors
- A velvet board or soft surface to cut the metals 
- Mellor (optional - you can also use one of the chenille needles included in the kit)
- Heat erasable pen for fabric such as PILOT FriXion Clicker Erasable Gel ink pen or just a pencil.
- Awl, or some tool to pierce the fabric
 
During the workshop, I will also demonstrate how to create alternative versions of the orange fish using the same pattern, applying different goldwork techniques (like the ones shown in the photo). We will also talk through composition choices: how to place, vary, and combine the fishes so each piece feels balanced and intentional.
