This workshop will be taught in one live session of 2.5 hr via Zoom
The session will be recorded for you to have for future reference and in the case you cannot attend live.
Live Session - Saturday 17th January from 7 pm to 9.30 pm (GMT - UK time)
For those of you who wanted to learn how to make this goldwork hedgehog and would like to get started with this beautiful techniques, this is the perfect chance!
During the session you will learn all the process from the very beginning when you trace the pattern to the last stitch of the design. I will guide you on how to embroider the face and you can choose what expression your hedgehog will have. It doesn't have to be sad if you don't want to. It is very fun to see all the different hedgehog expressions :)
The cost of the workshop includes the kit with all the materials needed to complete the project: fabric, threads, purls, needles and more.
Apart from what's included in the kit you will need:
- 8 inches hand free embroidery hoop
- Goldwork embroidery scissors
- A velvet board or soft surface to cut the metals
- Awl (or other piercing fabric tool)
- Tweezers (optional)
- Heat erasable pen for fabric such as PILOT FriXion or a pencil.
During this workshop I will be teaching you all the necessary techniques to complete the project but some experience in embroidery is recommended. If you have any questions about this you can contact me and we can discuss it.
After completing the class you will be able to build and embroider your own goldwork hedgehog and it will inspire you to create your own designs as I will teach you all the process.
The kit includes the printed pattern and all the supplies to complete the hedgehog and finish it as an ornament.
