About the project
This is one of my most technique-rich workshops, ideal for embroiderers who enjoy detailed work and want to explore texture, shine, and layered construction.
Across the two sessions, you will learn the complete process from tracing the pattern through to the final stitch. I will demonstrate live goldwork and stumpwork techniques throughout the class, including sequin formation, felt and string padding, blending coloured purls, chipping, appliqué, stem formation with purls, couching. working with plate, purl loop formation, and the construction of the ornament with a neat backing finish.
This project is full of intricate goldwork detail and offers a wonderful opportunity to build confidence with more advanced techniques while developing a refined, well-finished piece.
What’s included
The workshop fee includes a complete kit with all the materials required to finish the project. Your kit contains the printed pattern, fabric, needles, threads, metals, felts, and purls, carefully prepared so you can focus fully on the stitching during the workshop.
