FREE Goldwork Sacred Heart Brooch workshop in collaboration with Ecclesiastical Sewing
ONLINE WORKSHOP

Saturday 6th June from 7pm to 9 pm GMT (UK time)

You can check what time it will be in your city with this Time Converter

The class will be taught live via Zoom in one session. After signing up, you will receive all the details needed to prepare, including the Zoom link and materials guidance.

The session will be recorded and shared with you afterwards, so you can revisit it at your own pace.

To sign up, complete the sign up form and you will receive an email with all the information about how to get ready for the class, the zoom link, and more.

This free online workshop is an opportunity to explore goldwork techniques while stitching a Sacred Heart brooch.

During the workshop, you will learn a range of goldwork techniques, including cutwork over string padding, S-ing with purls, appliqué, chipping and more. We will also look closely at goldwork materials and threads: how to recognise them and how to use them effectively. You will also learn how to finish the brooch with a neat and professional backing.

The project is designed to guide you from the first steps through to the final stitch, while also encouraging you to explore your own variations using materials you may already have.

If you would like to recreate the design exactly as shown, a limited number of Sacred Heart Brooch kits are available in my SHOP. However, you are very welcome to join the workshop with your own materials.

This class is suitable for those new to goldwork as well as anyone looking to develop their technique through a complete, focused project.

This workshop is offered in collaboration with Ecclesiastical Sewing. Alongside this class, they are offering a separate phone clutch purse project with its own free tutorial and free pattern. Sign up HERE to receive them.

Both projects can be completed independently, or you may choose to explore both.

Looking forward to it!
