Live Session - Saturday 26th April from 7 pm to 9.30 pm (GMT - UK time)
During this live session, you will learn the complete process of creating the Goldwork Robin: from tracing the pattern to placing the final stitch.
I will guide you step by step through the construction of this dimensional brooch, covering both structure and embellishment. The project is ideal for beginners who would like to build confidence in goldwork and stumpwork techniques, and equally suitable for those wishing to explore their own creative variations. Throughout the class, I will share guidance on how the same pattern can be interpreted in different ways.
You will learn all the steps needed to create your robin, as well as a range of traditional and modern goldwork techniques, including:
- Couching
- Chipping
- Cutwork
- Sequin Formation
- Aplique
🎁 The kit includes everything you need to complete the project: printed pattern, fabric, needles, threads, goldwork metals, felt, and more.
You will also need:
- 8" hands-free embroidery hoop
- Goldwork scissors (or dedicated scissors for metal threads)
- Regular embroidery scissors
- Velvet board or soft surface for cutting metals
- Stiletto, awl, or similar piercing tool
- Mellor (optional)
