Goldwork Tudor Rose

Includes the kit

FREE  worldwide shipping

This workshop was taught in two sessions via Zoom

Both sessions were recorded. After signing up you will receive a personalised email with the links to the recordings and supporting information. On a separate email you will receive the shipping details for the kit.

This workshop is ideal for those that want to try techniques such as felt padding, string padding, couching, chipping, cutwork and more while completing this Tudor Rose.

The cost of the workshop includes the kit with all the materials needed to complete the project: fabric, threads, purls, needles, one reel of guterman thread 488, beeswax and more. Plus, I'm always available if you need support while stitching the project.

Apart from what's included in the kit you will need:

- 8 inches hand free embroidery hoop

- Goldwork embroidery scissors or embroidery scissors that you will use only to cut metals.

- A velvet board or soft surface to cut the metals (i.e. a piece of felt)

- Mellor (optional - you can also use one of the chenille needles included in the kit)

- Heat erasable pen for fabric such as PILOT FriXion Clicker Erasable Gel ink pen.

- Stiletto - optional.

During this workshop I demonstrate live all the necessary techniques to complete the project but some basic general embroidery knowledge is recommended. If you have any questions about this you can contact me and we can discuss it.

This project also includes a rare vintage thread that is a pleasure to work with and  some beautiful coloured purls in different widths.

During this workshop we go through all the stages needed to complete the project: how to transfer the fabric, how to add a backing fabric for a goldwork project, how to recognise different metals and more.
